We admit it - we love central African coffee beans. These come from the Virunga region of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and represent the broader region well offering a balanced cup that's complex yet smooth. No cotton candy or bubblegum here--this is a coffee for adults.

Dried fruit (currants among others), burnt orange peel, lightly tanned leather, cacao, and blackberry. Akin to a dry red wine from Spain (tempranillo) or southern France (grenache).

Roasting Profile: The target for our medium roasts is what we call the "magic middle" where the brightness--represented primarily here in the citrus notes--is tamed and balanced by the caramelized flavors.
